Research Interest: My current research focuses on optimizing diagnosis and treatment of pediatric eye diseases, in particular on amblyopia and retinopathy of prematurity.
Research Interest: Dr. Kumar’s research focuses on design and development of public health informatics, telemedicine technology, health education technologies and health informatics technology evaluation.
Research Interest: Additionally, my interests include: Macular Degeneration, Diabests, Vitreomacular Traction, Uveitis and most posterior segment related pathology.
Biography: Dr. Greiner has had over 30 years of continuous grant support for his
basic science and clinical research studies. He has been an awardee on
grants from both Fight For Sight and the National Society to Prevent
Blindness. He has served as principal investigator as well as
co-investigator on awards from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
grants and served as an investigator, principal investigator or
sub-investigator in over 110 FDA-approved clinical trials. He has been
an invited speaker and presenter at numerous regional, national and
international meetings, delivering over 200 presentations. With
collaborators, Dr. Greiner reported the original clinical and
histopathologic characterization and naming of the disease
Giant-Papillary-Conjunctivitis, and the original clinical
characterization and naming of the ophthalmic condition
Lid-Wiper-Epitheliopathy. Dr. Greiner and collaborators also reported
the histopathologic and histochemical characterization of the “second”
mucus secretory system of the conjunctiva, developed a model of ocular
inflammation induced by eye rubbing, developed a method of treatment for
meibomian gland dysfunction, and pioneered the applications of 31P NMR
spectroscopy in ophthalmology. These discoveries are all documented by
his publications in referred medical and scientific journals.
Research Interest: His research influenced the market withdrawal of two general anesthetics, a warning label for a pharmaceutical agent whose inappropriate use resulted in blindness, and a Consumer Products Safety Commission-mandated warning label.
Research Interest: Her scientific research focuses on the development of novel diagnostic techniques, e.g., retinal imaging and novel treatment strategies such as intravitreal pharmacotherapy. She has founded the Vienna Study Center (VSC) which serves as the principal site for multi-center clinical trials and the Vienna Reading Center (VRC), an independent institution for digital imaging performing image analysis for over 140 clinical sites world-wide.
Research Interest: Corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL) with riboflavin and UV-A. New approaches (e.g. high intensity CXL) and modified techniques (e.g. combined transepithelial phototherapeutic keratectomy followed by CXL - “Cretan protocol”, combined photorefractive keratectomy followed by CXL etc.). New techniques in managing corneal graft for partial corneal transplantation procedures. Development of new techniques for corneal endothelial transplantation (DSEK, DMEK) Femtosecond laser application in corneal, refractive and cataract surgery (e.g. femtosecond laser-assisted intracorneal biopolymer insertion for the symptomatic treatment of bullous keratopathy). Refractive surgery - outcomes and new approaches. Evaluation of corneal ectatic disorders and treatment options. Intracorneal ring segments in keratoconus and post-LASIK ectasia.
Research Interest: Fields of interest: Contactology, Dacryology, Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconsrtuctive Surgery His 72 scientific papers have been published in various scientific journals and books, in Hungarian, English, German, Italian and French. He has a patent specification for soft contact lens care solution. He has written and edited a contactological textbook.
Research Interest: Retina and vitreous surgery Macular surgery Cataract surgery Corneal wound healing using a confocal microscope Keratoplasty Eye disorders caused by HIV infection
Research Interest: My research Interest : ocular imaging, meibomian gland, optical coherence tomography, optics in ophthalmology, keratoplasty, cornea, multifocal IOL
Research Interest: Yeast genetic engineering for biofuel production; Biomass to biofuels; Pretreatment of lignocellulose; Enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulose; Comprehensive utilization of wastes including solids and liquids. Fermentation engineering; Food additives
Research Interest: I am strongly interested in continuing developing new imaging and image analysis methods for preclinical and clinical imaging. I am especially interested in the implementation of new MRI techniques in the routine clinical imaging, surgery, therapy, ophthalmology and/or neurology.
Research Interest: Biomedical engineering/ electronic Bio-medical implanted devices design such as Bio-implanted micro-system stimulator Retinal implants Cochlear implants Inductive coupling link for biotelemetry applications ISM and MIC bands frequency SAR investigation within human tissue
Each step from submission to publication was handled efficiently. The review comments were accurate which increased the value of our revised manuscript. I will certainly publish more works with Peertechz.More
